EMPORIA, Kan. (KSNT) – A man may have been struck by a train in Emporia one week ago.
The incident happened on the 21st, but Emporia Police released information concerning what happened today. Last Friday a train crew told police that a man in an orange coat was nearly hit by the train. Not long after that, a second train came through and its crew saw a person in orange clothing lying near the tracks.
Police say it appears as though the 30-year-old man was hit by a train. He was first taken to Newman’s and then lifeflighted to Wesley medical in Wichita. There’s no word on his current condition. The investigation continues.
