Capper Foundation to hold Autism Summit this weekend

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, The Easter Seals Capper Foundation is holding an Autism Summit.

The event will take place at the Capper Foundation on Saturday, April 5th from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Kansas First News Anchor Natalie Davis will be there to speak about her personal experience having a brother with Autism Spectrum Disorder and will also introduce the keynote speaker Dr. Stephen Shore.

Shore has Autism himself, he was nonverbal until the age of four, but says with the support from his parents, teachers, wife and others he is now a professor at Adelphi University, where his research focuses on helping people with Autism.
