(WXIA) The mother of a 2-year-old Georgia boy is making a plea to help find the driver of a pickup truck who killed him.
DeKalb County Police said the boy and his family was hit by the truck Saturday afternoon while they were waiting to cross the street.
Vashti Lindsay says she and her son Caleb and her 4-year-old daughter Myeria were standing on the curb waiting to cross Tucker Norcross Road when the pickup truck jumped the curb.
“After he realized that he hit my kids I said ‘Please sir, stop, stop, stop!” she said. “He kept flying like he didn’t care.”
Caleb was pronounced dead at the hospital. His sister was treated and released. She suffered a broken arm and scrapes to her face. “
A witness to the incident told police he saw the driver of the pickup truck stop for a moment and throw a beer bottle out of the vehicle before speeding off.
