Going orange for ‘Work Zone Safety’

Everyone is going orange in the name of “Work Zone Safety.”

Some state buildings are lit in the hue as part of “National Work Zone Awareness Week,” a safety campaign that highlights the hazards and dangers highway workers and motorists face every day.

The Kansas Department of Transportation is also sharing blogs each day written by highway workers and law enforcement telling their experiences in work zones. They’re also posting photos of people wearing orange in support of Highway workers.
