Truckers now have a new place to fill up, a “Compressed Natural Gas Station” near 57th and Topeka Boulevard.
The general manager says the price of compressed natural gas is nearly 2 dollars cheaper per gallon and that’s only one of the many benefits.
“Then the other side of the equation obviously is the cleanliness of it, says General Manager of Questar Fueling Company, Carl Galbraith. It puts out less greenhouse gasses, it’s just better for the environment and obviously being the United States is the largest producer of natural gas it’s very nice to use your own domestic fuel.”
The station is designed for large trucks and trailers to turn and drive through four high speed fueling lanes.
