Wildcats prevail at home against Baylor

Manhattan – Blair DeBord drove in the game-winning 2-RBI single in the 8th inning as the Kansas State Wildcats defeated Baylor on Friday night at Tointon Family Stadium.

DeBord went 1-for-4 but his key hit helped the Wildcats take the series against the Bears. Ross Kivett, the 2013 Big 12 Player of the Year, homered and scored two runs.

Former Shawnee Heights product Jordan Floyd made his first collegiate start for the Wildcats. Floyd pitched 3+ innings where he allowed three runs and five hits. Floyd made 12 relief appearances this season before starting on Friday.

The series wraps up Saturday night at 7 PM at Tointon Family Stadium.
