EMPORIA, Kan. (KSNT) – This Saturday will mark the first night race at the Kansas Speedway for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and Emporia native Clint Bowyer will be at Emporia High School Wednesday morning to talk to students about distracted driving. The event is closed to the public.

Afterward Bowyer will sign autographs for fans at his dealership located at 2815 West Highway 50 in Emporia.

He married his bride, Lorra, in the Bahamas two weeks ago, during the off week in the Sprint Cup schedule. And on Monday he announced on Twitter they are expecting a boy.

On Monday, Bowyer signed a three-year contract extension that will keep him with Michael Waltrip Racing.
