Shooting sends 1 person to hospital, suspect in custody

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – Riley County Police say they have a suspect in custody after a shooting at a gas station early Wednesday afternoon.

A RCPD spokesman says the call came in around 1:15 in the 2200 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. where one person was reported to have been injured.

RCPD has confirmed the shooting did happen involving one victim and is believed to be an isolated incident.

Public information officer with the department tweeted that they have a suspect custody for the shooting.

The victim has been life flighted for treatment of a gun shot wound.
