Police investigating ‘peeping’ incident in Ottawa

OTTAWA, Kan. (KSNT) – At about 8:20 Wednesday evening, a citizen reported a suspicious activity by an unidentified person at the Orlis Cox Sports Complex in the 900 block of West 2nd Street in Ottawa. Recreational sports teams were practicing during this time frame and the park was busy with many patrons in the area.

The Ottawa Police Department says a citizen using a portable restroom discovered someone made a peep-hole between two connected portable restrooms. According to police, the citizen saw a male looking into the portable restroom and yelled at the male; the male ran from the restroom to a vehicle in the parking lot and fled.

The male is described as a white, in his 40’s with light blond hair and glasses. The person fled the area in a gold or tan, 1980’s model, sedan (possibly a Chrysler New Yorker or Oldsmobile).
