Missouri man sentenced to 50 years in crime spree

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A Kansas City man was sentenced to 50 years in prison for a six-month crime spree in south Kansas City and Grandview that included rape and kidnapping.

Twenty-four-year-old Kevyn M. Jennings was sentenced Tuesday for crimes against six women. He was sentenced to 30 years for two counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of forcible rape. The other 20 years were for 16 other counts including kidnapping, robbery and armed criminal action. The sentences will run consecutively.

The Kansas City Star reports (http://bit.ly/1j7cImF ) the crimes lasted from June to December in 2012, until Jennings was caught with his last victim. Jennings pointed a gun at each of his victims and threatened to kill four of the women.
