“Hidden Cash Kansas” brings big bucks to Topeka

Follow @HiddenCashKS for all the latest clues to find the envelopes of cash.

There’s a new “game” in Kansas which started all the way in California.

In each state an anonymous person hides cash in an envelope and this weekend they were in Topeka.

It took less than 5 minutes for people to realize that it was right at Topeka’s own equality house.

It’s part of an anonymous rich man’s social experiment that started in San Francisco and Los Angeles. In each state, an account called “Hidden Cash” tweets a clue and sometimes a picture which kicks off a city-wide scavenger hunt. The first ever envelope was hidden in San Francisco this year and since then, white envelopes have been found in dozens of states around the U.S.

Hidden Cash Kansas Organizer, who’s wants to remain anonymous says, it’s not all about the money.

“I think it’s just giving back to people honestly..it’s restoring faith to humanity. You see all the bad..but you never see all the good. We didn’t think it was going to get this big this fast..i mean because this guy who started it took him a while before people really realized what he was doing.”

Another prize was hidden at the Sk8te Away off Fairlawn Road where a family found 20 dollars and a roller skate pass.
