LIBERTY, N.Y. (AP) — Officials at an upstate New York high school say one student was stabbed and another cut during a fight.
None of the injuries sustained Friday during the fight at Liberty High School in Sullivan County are considered life threatening.
School officials and police say the unidentified assailant is in police custody.
The Middletown Times Herald Record reports that a 16-year-old female is in custody and that the stabbing victim was also a female. The paper reports that a 17-year-old male was hurt trying to break up the fight.
The school 80 miles northwest of New York City was briefly locked down.
No other students or staff members were injured.
