Month long investigation leads to drug related arrest in Junction City

A release from the juncion City-Geary County Police Department stated that on June 6, 2014, the Junction City-Geary County Drug Operations Group, assisted by Junction City-Geary County SWAT, executed a search warrant at 2610 Strauss Blvd Apt. #1308, Junction City, Kansas.  The search warrant was obtained after a month long investigation by the Drug Operations Group into suspected drug sales at the residence.

The following persons were arrested:

Steven Christopher Simpson, age 24 of Junction City.  He was charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Endangering a Child, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Bethany Marie Johnson, age 25 of Junction City.  She was charged with Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Endangering a Child, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Both were confined at the Geary County Detention Center pending there first appearance in the Geary County District Court.

The Drug Operations Group seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia

The Junction City-Geary County Drug Operations Group is a joint task force composed of members of the Junction City Police Department, Geary County Sheriff’s Department, and Grandview Plaza Police Department.
