Starting Monday, a project will begin to repair and overlay the bridges located on I-70 over Keene Road (one mile east of K-30) and over Hudson Ranch Road in Wabaunsee County.
Project work includes concrete patching on the bridge decks followed by a polymer overlay and new pavement markings. Work will take place during daylight hours, Monday through Friday.
Beginning on Monday morning, July 14, crews will begin setting traffic control and sometime later that day eastbound and westbound I-70 right lanes over both bridges will be closed for patching work to repair exposed potholes and damaged concrete. Once patching work is completed in one lane, the traffic will be switched to the other lane on the bridges while the remaining patching work is completed. The polymer overlay will be applied once the patching work is finished.
There will be a 13-foot lane width restriction during working hours through the project work zone throughout the project duration. Traffic will be directed through the project work zone via cones and signage. Drivers should expect only minor delays throughout the project duration.
