Manhattan man arrested for possession of illegal drugs

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) A Manhattan man is in jail Monday for multiple drug offenses.

Forty-year-old Richard Jackson of Manhattan was arrested on the 12th of July in the 700 block of Allen road after attempting to flee or elude a police officer.

Jackson was arrested on a possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana (felony) and possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drug offenses, as well as, fleeing or attempting to elude.

His bond was set for $23,000 and he is currently confined at the Riley County Jail. Several of these charges were listed on area warrants.
