Shawnee County commissioners get CPR lessons

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Shawnee County commissioners got a lesson in CPR at the end of their meeting Thursday morning..

The operations manager for the county’s ambulance service showed the three how to perform the procedure with some hands-on training.

The goal is to have citizens handle compression only CPR during cardiac arrest until trained medics arrive.

Dates and locations for the free public training sessions are yet to be released.
