On Friday August 1, 2014 at approximately 10:15 am Jackson County Sheriff Deputies arrested Dylan Wayne Massey 29 of Alta Vista and Rachel Dawn Hudson 37 of Holton following a traffic stop in Hoyt.

Massey was booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony obstruction and operating a vehicle with no ignition interlock device.

Hudson was booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of weapons and for probation violations.

Hudson was arrested in Urbandale Iowa in January 2013 on a Jackson County District Court warrant for obstructing the apprehension of Lloyd Wabaunsee and Desiree Shopteese. Wabaunsee and Shopteese were both found in the trunk of Hudson’s Chevy Impala in the parking lot of a Hy-Vee store in Urbandale, Iowa by U.S. Marshals.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Authorities and Marshals worked together on a “sting” type operation which led to their capture. Wabaunsee later pled guilty to the shooting death of Kevin Stanley.

The same Impala owned by Hudson that was used in the escape of Wabunsee and Shopteese from Kansas to Iowa was impounded by Jackson County Deputies on Friday.

Bond on is pending on both subjects at this time.
