“A good neighbor is one of the best deterrents against crime and it’s our hope that National Night Out serves as an opportunity for people to get to know their neighbors or continue to develop existing relationships,” said Kristi Pankratz, Director of Safe Streets.

The Topeka Police Department, Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, Shawnee County District Attorney’s Office and Target partner with Safe Streets to help make the National Night Out events a success.

More than 37 million people throughout the nation will participate in the 31st annual “America’s Night Out Against Crime,” which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).
