Kansas First News Anchor/Reporter
Cristina joined Kansas First News in January 2013.
She comes from WBNG-TV in Binghamton, New York where she was the morning and noon anchor. While in upstate New York, she covered stories such as the area’s historic flooding from Hurricane Irene and tropical storm Lee and even took viewers on an on-camera ghost hunt through a haunted inn.
Cristina started her career at KIMT-TV in Mason City, Iowa as a reporter in the station’s southern Minnesota Bureau. She was on the scene of the 2007 I-35W bridge collapse in Minneapolis, flew with hundreds on World War II veterans on the region’s inaugural Honor Flight to Washington, DC and covered the Dalai Lama’s trip to the Mayo Clinic.
Cristina interned at WVIT-TV in Hartford, Connecticut and WCVB-TV in Boston, Massachusetts. She worked as an associate producer in the consumer investigative unit at WCVB.
Cristina graduated from the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and is a proud bobcat!
While outside of the station, Cristina enjoys catching up with friends and family, running and cheering on her hometown team the Boston Red Sox!
