Storm Track Weather Meteorologist
Tom Hagen is a morning meteorologist. He graduated from of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Atmospheric Science and a minor in math. While at Mizzou, Tom served as vice president of the Meteorology club and did research on precipitation averages.
Tom interned at KCTV5 in Kansas City and worked as the weekend meteorologist for KMIZ-TV in Columbia, Missouri. Although born in Chicago, his passion for weather started after his family moved to Glendive, Montana. After seeing a funnel cloud, Tom decided to become a broadcast meteorologist to alert people of severe weather. Working in “tornado alley” is very exciting for Tom. He hopes to give the people of Northeast Kansas the most accurate and complete weather coverage during his forecasts.
In his spare time Tom enjoys running in Gage Park, playing tennis and going to the movies. He has a twin sister and his parents live in Omaha, Nebraska.
